French Toast Weather Alert for NYC

Hey, it's really blowing here in NYC. Heavy sideways snow. Maybe a foot or so? I'll let the news guys provide the pix.
A French Roast Alert= when everyone stocks up on milk, bread and eggs, it's obvious that French Toast is going to get us through the storm. (Like a little cinnamon with that?)

I wish we had that down in DC. So far this year just 1" of snow.... I'm afraid I won't get to use my snow blower at all this year! On the plus side, it was 70 degrees yesterday.

And by the way... always cinnamon AND vanilla for french toast.

French Toast would be nice but completely off my menu, sadly. All sugar and carbs. I have gotten my blood glucose down by cutting all that fun stuff out of my diet.

It's not too bad out yet. My main objection to the snow is that the salt that is thrown down makes my dog walk very complicated. He won't wear booties and the salt really hurts. I end up carrying him to areas that aren't salted.

It could be worse.
"Snow began falling lightly in Boston on Thursday morning, with two feet or more expected by the end of the day."

I *REALLY* like that description. Thanks ! I'll have to use that.

Far better than the Weather Channel's "You're all gonna DIE !" explanations...

Wait, what?! I went to bed and it was a foot. Oh, well, some sledding later on!

Once or twice a year our local forecasters predict the storm of the century is imminent. It's the meteorological equivalent of click bait.

It's 17ºF here in SE lower MI with a WC of 0º. I'd take the snow...

Lucky it's a fast moving storm (blizzard anyone?) or Boston might get 4' of snow.

Definitely moving quickly. The western edge of the storm is already moving out of eastern upstate NY and over the border with CT, MA and VT. Rate of snowfall here where I am in W. MA has decreased already. Beginning to end it is looking like this storm is only going to last a total of about 10 hours.

Oh well, then I can start removing the snow from the walks and driveway. Don't have to worry about any deadline to get to work, I got the call at work about 9 yesterday evening that they had decided to close the university for today.

Yep, sunshine (a rarity in mid Michigan) and cold here. However, I won't go so far as to actually wish for snow. Don't worry, snow will come.

NYC got about 10 inches, more towards the East. Up to 18" as you go out on Long Island.
