New York Times front page...disturbing, or what?

This is the weirdest thing. Those blinking people look creepy. You need to watch for a few seconds before you get it.

"In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion." (1987) -- Carl Sagan

It would be more eye catching if they were screaming.

Which article are you referring to? I don't see anything blinking, but I am on my phone.

I'm on a desktop but I didn't see what you're talking about either.

The NYT had a story where they had mugshots of four of the people the story was about. However, the photos weren't stills. They were short (about 10 secs) movies of their faces, complete with blinks, twitches, etc.
