If you were in say Afganistan could your wifi camera upload to iCloud so you would for sure have your pics when you got home? I used this country because I wanted some remote country.

I would suggest having someone back home checking to be sure.

I have had too many instances where everything is set correctly, I have a strong wifi signal and then nothing goes through.

Of course, all of this ASSUMES you can find an open wifi connection in Afghanistan or wherever you're going.
