$1,500 a month and you have access to any car in the Cadillac fleet. Including the CTS-V and ATS-V, plan includes insurance, maintenance, even tires. Many people figured you can lease a CTS-V and an escalade.

However even with the few people in the test markets that took advantage of it, Cadillac screwed up by not being able to forfill the less the expected response to the program.

Now Buick and others are considering the concept.

The new Genesis brand from Hyundai is going to offer their customers the ability to exchange their car temporarily for a different type of car when needed. Lease a G80 and you need an SUV for the weekend, drop your car off and borrow and SUV.

I would be interested, but not at that price point.

Egads. I could buy one used car for a couple/three months worth of $1500's, then maintain it for $1500 annually indefinitely.

But I'm probably not the target market.

Well, this may be a bad example, but this is exactly where car ownership is heading for the younger urban generation. They see no reason to be saddled with a car and its expenses if they work in a city.

Hmmmm, I could probably burn $1500/mo in tires. Still not worth it.

Figure if the MSRP: 'From $85,995', GM would think that a program similar to aircraft leasing is appropriate. (Plus, your company can pay for it. wink wink)

And so the war on ownership takes another tiny step forward...

And all I do is dick around.

The lease includes insurance, tires, all maintenance.
A typical lease on a Loaded Escalade is at least $1200 mo so adding in tires, insurance etc is not really that bad of a deal.
