I'm glad he got busted for this. I hope it prioritizes his sensibilities. I hope he learns to recover from being "exposed" and get back to the business of re-building the man that he should be.

I was actually going to say, a rich dude like himself, should have had a driver. With money like his, putting yourself in this position is just plain stupid.

Yeah, he can't drive a car straight any more either.
Poor Tiger, always driving into trees these days.

In a statement released Monday evening, Woods said alcohol was not a factor in his arrest, which he said stemmed from an "unexpected reaction" to prescription medication.

"I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions," Woods said in the statement. "I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn't realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly.

Sure, after 4 back surgeries, not that surprised about pain meds and/or muscle relaxants, and any other meds interacting.

That's plausible and exactly what he wants you to believe, but let's see what the police report says. I wonder if there was a breathalyzer or blood sample taken.

Just because they are prescribed doesn't mean you are home free to drive.

They don't really call it DUI, anymore its DWI Driving While Impaired. That truck driver that plowed into Tracy Morgan's limo was busted for DWI, he hadn't slept in over 24 hours. That's impaired.

So, even if Tiger has prescriptions, and wasn't drinking, he can still be breaking the law.

Of course, that's a given, this is now all about his reputation, not trying to beat the charge.

I saw a report that he took two breathalyzer tests and both came up with 0.00 BAC.

breathalyzer doesn't register opioids or muscle relaxants. Or both.

I've been listening to too much sports talk radio lately. Last night, Ferrall (Scott Ferrall, "Ferrall on the Bench" on CBS Sports Radio) was totally ripping him. Spewing a bunch of what now appears to be false info.

He said he refused a breathalyzer which in Florida is an automatic arrest. Kept saying if he wouldn't take a breathalyzer it's because he was drunk and Woods' statement was B.S. and "the car smelled of alcohol."

Today on the Dan Patrick show, they said they had a copy of the police report, which tells a completely opposite story compared to what Ferrall was ripping him about. The police report says nothing of alcohol (literally does not contain the word alcohol). It said he was cooperative and consented to a breathalyzer, urine and blood test. Like rz said, he blew a 0.00. (Not sure if it's true but on the Patrick show they were saying apparently, he actually fell asleep at the wheel.)

So it wasn't alcohol but he still shouldn't have been driving.

Meds affect different people differently. I get very few side effects from most meds. I had to retake my practical driving test in 2012 because of my hip. I was on 2 Vicodan and a morphine sulfate pill. Passed with a 92/100.

I obviously wasn't impaired to a degree enough for it to have been an issue.

Now a muscle relaxant and a beer or two, and I will sleep for 12 hours.

Yeah, sounds like meds snuck up on him.

And after watching the arrest videos it would seem to me instead of handcuffing him they should have been helping him into an ambulance. Not bashing cops here, they just do their job by the book, it just seems like there is something medically wrong. But I don't arrest people all night long for doing drugs and booze and stuff recreationally so I'm probably a little biased and don't quite see their's.
