I only attended 5 of these (but 4 were in the top 10).

How many have any of you attended?

Mine were Jimi, Big Brother, Cream and Ike and Tina.

I also saw the Stones in 72 (as well as a couple of times before)

It seems like something should be at least 2-3 years old before it makes it on to someone's "best of list".

"The list below was born out of some pretty serious arguments. "

fairly meaningless statement

I was too young to go on my own for the first 22 and there was no way my parents were going to take me to most of those. Except for college, I didn't have many friends that went to concerts.

I really screwed up not going to Animals and The Wall.

Just the '88 Metallica tour in person, saw them in Memphis on Monsters of Rock (and haven't seen them since, now that I think about it). Saw a few of the others on video, notably the Fleetwood Mac reunion. I was never a big fan of their materiel, but I still remember being blown away by the sheer vocal power of those three voices the first time it came on TV.

Saw the Eagles on the first reunion tour, and U2 on the Joshua Tree. In both cases, there was no reason to see them again, they weren't going to top those shows. Pink Floyd on their last tour in '94 was really something, even without (and maybe because they were without) Waters. Stones in '89 and '90, and vividly remember saying, "These guys are way too old to be doing this."

Too young for many of them and I believe they skipped some that should have been there in favor of some of the new crap.

So officially on Bruce Springsteen and Pink Floyd for me. I made up for it by seeing The Boss 6 times between 1979 and 1982.

What would I add?

The MUSE concerts (Musicians United For Safe Energy) circa 1979 Jackson Brown, Bruce Springsteen et al.

Neil Young's Live Rust tour

Roger Water's current tour

Looked for Zappa. Didn't see it.

Didn't look for T-Swift. Saw it.

Discarded list.

Lots of good writing throughout the story Lux. Don't just toss it out.

For me seeing Hendrix on that first tour was just mind blowing. I had never seen or heard anything like him before
