Pictures from recent backpacking trip

Me and a friend went to the Ruby Mountains in Nevada for a short one nighter backpacking trip.

We camped in Lamoille Canyon then hikes out the next day... up over 10400' Liberty Pass to Liberty Lake.

Views from the campsite in Lamoille Canyon

View of Liberty Lake from the Liberty Pass trail

View from just below our campsite at Liberty Lake - wow... you can see the desert floor 5000' below and more distant mountain ranges.

An iphone pano of the view

Hiking back down the pass trail on our way out. That's my friend, Paul - lots of snow up top, lots of wildflowers below...

That 'V' in the distance is the pass we came from...

I wonder if any of that snow will still be there when the snow begins to fall next winter.

Nicely-composed, lovely shots. Which camera(s) were you using?

This was a Sony HX90V - a tiny 30x zoom that I bought last year for this years backpacking. I'm very pleased with it.
