When viewing a PDF I often use the "two page" option. This is useful when viewing music sheets that span two pages. Unfortunately sometimes I get page 2 & 3 when I really want page 3 & 4. Is there a way to fix this?

Not sure if this is standard or simply common, but I believe Preview treats the documents as if they were physical booklets, putting page one by itself as a cover in a single spread.

In other applications, if you were able to change the page numbering, and change the first page to a even number (0 or 2) then you'd start with a two page spread.

I don't see how you can do that with Preview, but maybe I'm missing it.

Assuming you can't change page numbers, you CAN at least add a blank page to the document so that the following pages are shifted and the two pages you want will appear together.
(Edit menu: Insert > Blank Page)
