Neighborhood treats

Speaking of Apple, a real estate agent friend is selling a house down the street. She, my wife, and another neighbor were at the house and noticed the crabapple in the yard. At least, they thought it was a crabapple, but on closer inspection, is a Malus pumila, the common apple. And it is loaded with fruit! They are not the cultivated grapefruit sized apples from Wenatchee, just 2-3" diameters, but they are delicious! Red Delicious, maybe, and here is the bounty my wife brought home:

And her friends took home as much as my wife got! First our great peach crop, and now apples...

Apple Pie à la Mode.

Saint Cloud, Minnesota, where the weather is wonderful even when it isn't.

And if you give them out on Halloween, the kids are obligated to throw them away; we all know there are razor blades inside!
