We are probably going to see it tomorrow, and I was wondering if anyone has already seen it.
I think it opened yesterday.

Bob Mondello of NPR liked it so much I thought he was going to start weeping tears of joy. I've never heard such an enthusiastic review. I can't wait to see it.

I love sci fi and we certainly see this (in theater or dvd/streaming), but for some reason the original blade runner is a film I have seen several times and I just can't remember it, so somehow it fails to make an impression on me.

I've been to exactly one movie in a 4DX theater - those motion-enabled chairs are annoying as @#$%&. Never again.

It is what it is.

I'm planning to see it this weekend.
I listened to Adam Savage's podcast last week, and he saw a screening (since he has a teeny, tiny, part in the movie).
He's one of the biggest Blade Runner fans I've ever head of, down to reproducing some of the props for his collection.
He couldn't talk about the movie specifics, but for HIM to say "I think it may be better than the original" goes WAY beyond "high praise".

I have avoided any and all discussion about the movie, except for that podcast because it was "Spoiler Free".
I am now cautiously optimistic.

Saw it last night in Imax. It was amazing! Great cinematography and score. It was too long though @ 2:45 or so.

Wife was meh about it facepalm

It will require a rewatch to get all the details for sure.

Yeah, I saw it was almost three hours. I would rather it be a bit shorter, but I guess it is what it is.
Glad you liked it though.

There aren't many movies I could sit through for three hours, but I think this could the one. Can't wait to see it. The original is on my short list of lifetimes favorites. If 2049 tops it, well that would really be something!

I'll probably see it in one of the 4 places close to me.

There's a local place where I may try to talk the manager into a special show for Senior (Geezer) Viewers...with a bathroom intermission 2/3 of the way through the 3 hour extravaganza.

Heard one radio review of it. Good but too long. Overall, enjoyable and worthwhile on some levels but it's highly unlikely people will be talking about this movie in decades to come, as we have with Blade Runner.

Just saw it. Thought it was very well done. The soundtrack was good but could be a bit overwhelming at times.
It was about 15-30 minutes too long, just from a having to sit there for so long perspective.

Sounds like it is long enough to eat snacks, poop them out, and eat a second round, then poop THEM out when you get home.
