This was one of my favorite TV series when I was a child. My favorite was the Thanksgiving Episode...

For some reason I still vividly remember this episode from 30 years ago:

"The Mission"
Story by Steven Spielberg
A belly turret gunner (Casey Siemaszko) is trapped in the compartment of a WWII bomber.

Amazing Stories was the "less scary" version of Tales from the Darkside in the 80s.

Is Apple beginning to make its own content?

That was a GREAT series!
I remember the WWII bomber one.. and the one with Mark Hamil and the Leprauchan...
I might have to see if Netflix/Hulu/Amazon has the series and do a binge.

I think maybe that was the first one.

(I found it a little dumb, personally, but YMMV...)

Kevin Costner and Kiefer Sutherland were in that episode. I always get that mixed up with the Memphis Belle though. Another one that I really liked was the Halloween episode "Go to the Head of the Class" with Christopher Lloyd.

The Thanksgiving episode had Kyiera Sedgwick (SP?) and David Caradine. There were some big names in the episodes.

Rod Serling would be:

d) All of the above

I didn't say it was great. LOL. I just remembered it. I mean, a guy draws cartoon wheels on some paper that then magically repairs the bomber's landing gear to save the trapped gunner,,, is,,, well, AMAZING!

Oh yeah, now I remember it. That was stupid. Just like the rest of them: Too much Spielberg 'wonder' and almost no 'amazing'.

I just read through the list of episodes... a LOT of talented people in that show.
I remember bits and pieces of several episodes. Like, how bad the "Hell Toupee" episode was, lol.
