My daugter just moved to CA in August. Bought a new trailor. It is gone. My other daghters house is still Ok. The trailor was near the house. Fire on the road to their place. Sad.

Well, the kids are alive and not injured.
Older daughter and husband busy on the computer working with the fire dept. Road to their home one fire. The slurry planes are not tending isolated mountain houses so...anyway tyhey slurried the house before evacuating but don't know how long slurry lasts.

Thanks for well wishes.

… Round 2 is forecast to begin early Saturday. Hopefully the next two days remain somewhat calm, though often the onshore wind pattern simply pushes a fire back to burn the areas it missed the first time. This is a rough time of year in California. Beautiful weather - but scary when the winds crank up. And they will do so several times over the next month.

Thank goodness your family is safe, Suzanne. No rain predicted for the foreseeable future and I saw that the fire-fighting aircraft can't fly because of how thick the smoke is.

How awful. Thoughts and prayers, and may rain come their way soon.

Yes, I've been through there. It's bad bad bad. Unbelievably so. So sorry to hear about your daughter's place.
