Quicken 2018 Released for Mac. Membership or Yearly Payment now

Not sure how it will work. Or how it will work for me. On the Mac it is still not perfect. And support is far from perfect. Wonder how long I can use the Mac 2017 and have support. Mobile app and desktop still causes conflicts that are not fixed by hours online with support.

Anyway, now that they have broken off from Intuit, and moved to their own server, Mac 2018 is here.

Yes, Intuit sold the Quicken business (Windows and Mac) back in 2016.

Micro,

Same question I always ask. Does Quicken 2018 have the reconciliation report that was included in Quicken 2007? Newer versions and flavors of Quicken don't have it. This is a critical report for me.

I hate the subscription model, but if it's very reasonable it'd be worth a few bucks a year for good supported software. A worker is worthy of his hire, even a software worker.

I quit using Quicken in the early 2000's cause it was junk on the Mac and have never looked back,
Do everything I need with spreadsheets.
Have no plans to participate in a ripoff subscription model and urge fellow forum members to do same.
Boycott Quicken and let it die.

Spreadsheet would be OK, but Quicken does offer more than it did in the early years.

So Quicken and Quickbooks aren't from the same company anymore. Odd. It looks like Quickbooks may have switched to subscription as well.

$75/year! Just wow.

Somehow we lost the idea that software gets CHEAPER as more people use it...

Some of the most obscenely profitable companies in the world are software vendors (Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, Salesforce, etc.)...and still they want more.

Fsck ‘em.
