Wife wants fitbit... hmmmm... which one?

Wife wants a fitbit... If she just wants to keep track of her steps and heart rate do they all do this? What's the advantage of the different models? Figured I'd get her the less expensive one knowing it will probably not be used in a few months...

The cheapest one doesn't have a watch display... Very disappointing at that price. I recommend against that model just out of spite for its cost and lack of display. The rest are too expensive in my book, as well. There should be a fitbit that's $10-20 more than the cheapest one that has a watch.

I'd suggest find one on sale or used. And don't lose the tiny little proprietary chargers.

I have the Alta - serves as a watch as well - good battery life. Apple watch is too big for me -even the 38mm is huge

Get one of these instead. Had one for 10 months now. Replaced a Fitbit Flex. Far better in every way that matters to me. And was less than 25% of the cost of the retail price of the Flex. They are often on sale at gear best for under $20 (watch slick deals)

thumbs up

Never had a Fitbit but I did get one of these and am totally impressed for the price. Measures heartbeat, steps, sleep (deep and light) and time. While walking, running or cycling, it measures distance, speed, calories burned, heart rate and it maps your route. For around $17 on sale, it was a great deal. Came in Apple-like packaging but the manual was all in Chinese. IIRC, it did take a couple week to arrive.
