Any dual drive docks with offline clone?

I recently tried to buy a USB Dual Drive Dock which sported an "offline clone" function. The idea is you insert your two SATA disks, connect power, turn on and press a button and it will start cloning disk A to disk B, and as long as disk B is larger, you should be good.

The $29 Alxum dock mounted two drives when connected to a computer via USB, but the offline clone function simply didn't work.

I'm wondering, given that most of the docks advertise this capability in the $25-35 range, whether any of them actually work. Has anyone had success? What's the performance like? Am I better off simply doing a block copy on a Mac?

this one does (I bought it early this year): [www.newegg.com]

Has worked very well for cloning without a computer. But, you have to read the instructions and understand exactly what the process is, and what the limitations are. Not super user friendly, but it has worked well for me.
