looking for small, accurate desktop stereo speakers for Macbook Pro

Not Bluetooth, don't need or want a sub on the floor. Just looking (for a co-worker) for a pair of decent small wired speakers for her desk. Something she can use daily, but can disconnect and carry to a small conference room for a group gathering occasionally. Budget under $100, if possible.

Thanks. They look nice, but probably too big for our needs.

Gonna be tough to find something better than those Mackie's for under $100.

Why not bluetooth if it needs to be portable? FWIW, nearly every BT speaker ive seen has AUX in, so wireless or cable.

Will there be power at all locations?

lots like this logitech set: [www.logitech.com]

Just throwing this out there - the Anker Soundcore2 is small and well under $100. Yes, it's bluetooth but you can run it "wired" using the Aux jack (standard headphone cable) and also plugged in to power with the charging cord. Just saying...

Good point about the Bluetooth. I guess she didn't want something that was limited to only Bluetooth. And those both look like good options. Thanks.

....was going to ask the same thing.....why not bluetooth....??

....if you want it to be portable/moveable, it is easier than dealing with wires.......got free BRICK type ones at work which are similar to the anker......they should work great for that purpose.....

If you have a $100 budget, you might want to watch for the Boom 2 to go on sale.

One of the best rated. And you can pair 2 together for addtional sound. They have a smaller version, but no aux jack

I have a pair of desktop "computer" Creatives on my wifes (my former) MacPro.
They're about 10 yo. They're pretty damn good. I use them as an alt mix ref alot.
And they can get f'n loud.
I'd suggest the Gigaworx T20 wired set.
