To be expected. I posted about 15 TB models a year and a half ago.
15.36TB SSD starts shipping from Samsung ($10,312 introductory price)

The 15 GB hasn't gone down in price, currently listed at $11,625.

Only $28k list price for the new 30TB Samsungs!
Interestingly, they'll also include 40GB of DDR4 RAM.
Unfortunately, you can't just pop one of these into a 2012 or older MacBook Pro - they use SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) not SATA, and look to be full height 15mm. However, you should be able to use them in your Mac Pro tower!

Oh, and Samsung is guaranteeing them them for full drive write capacity daily for 5 years... Not saying one won't fail, but if you're just storing your media on these for playback, they should last a bit longer.
