New Monitor

I know y'all are sick of my asking about monitors, but it's been so long since I bought one I don't know @#$%&.

2012 Mini, maxed out ram, i7 quad core, SSD, should be pretty fast.

Looking for a monitor that will do it justice.

27", 2560x1440 resolution, IPS panel etc

Frustrating trying to sift thru all the stuff. Don't want to get stuck with something that won't work for the Photoshop and Illustrator work I do.

Here are two, I'd appreciate your thoughts and suggestions.

Never heard of the brand, but the specs look good:

Have a smaller Dell now, always liked it so I'm looking at this:

Big difference in price. I'm willing to do that if I get a reliable monitor and good service if it should go toes up.

Again, I apologize for my ignorance.

Dell all the way. Apply for business credit if the cost is too much?

I was serious about the iMac. 5K retina screen is worth it. My 5K iMac next to the same 27" Dell cant compare, especially on the fine details.

Its not a bad mini, but illustrator and PS use a ton of GPU to speed things up, something the mini is severly lacking.

A quick search reveals BB price is an 'everyday street price'. Nothing special.

BenQ has been around for a long time.
The model you linked to has a 3/3 warranty and reportedly uses a
AU Optronics M270DAN01.0 AHVA panel.

hope that's helpful, happy shopping thumbsup smiley

Best Buy has a nearly identical HP that looks very nice for $300.

Have you settled on a 27" QHD monitor?

I think BenQ is a good choice. You can probably find a better price than BestBuy. Can't go wrong with Dell but it's harder to find a good deal. There are lots of options for those 27" QHD monitors, Acer, Asus, Samsung, HP, LG, etc. Newegg might be a good place to look and compare.

Slickdeals had a sale at Staples for a Dell 25 inch QHD monitor a few days ago for $250, but they seem sold out.

"Have you settled on a 27" QHD monitor? "

I'm not sure what a QHD monitor is.....I won't use it for gaming, just graphic design.
