If I rent a series on Amazon can I play it on my iPads? as well as compter? and how long does the rental last? It would take some time for a 13 week series. I have never used this service only the Prime customer streaming video.

For movies rentals, the rules are similar to Apple's – 30 days to start watching. 48 hours once you've started.

Like dk62, I wasn't aware of the ability to rent tv series. Most of them are simply "buy."

Is there a specific series you're looking at that indicated it is available to rent?

As for other apps –
Yes, if I rent or buy something through the web site, it becomes available for me to watch on the Apple TV app and on the Prime Video app on my phone.

Maidens Tale...(?) and you have been able to rent one episode or the series...by the season. But I have never used Apple or Amazon for movies other than buy the DVD. Thanks for info.

I don't see "Maiden's Tale."

If it's "The Handmaid's Tale" (pictured below) with Elizabeth Moss, I only see an option to buy, not rent. Which would mean it would be yours with no time limit.

Also, that's a Hulu original show. You could sign up for a month of Hulu for $7.99 or $11.99 (commercial free), and watch every episode, plus the upcoming season 2.

"The Handmaid's Tale"
Keep in mind this is also a 1985 award-winning book by Margaret Atwood (and an audiobook) available at your local library.

Local library will probably have the DVD for free as well. I borrowed all the past seasons of Homeland, Game of Thrones, The Americans, etc... from the library.
