MIL is having issues with her Mac. Used to be able to connect via FaceTime to take over her machine, but that was a long time ago and I don't think it works like that anymore. What do we like these days? Free would be nice. Also something that's easy enough to install and setup for a ~75 year old who is not the most computer savvy.
I have used TeamViewer for a few years now and have remotely helped many friends and relatives out. I also use it to access my own main iMac when I am away. Very happy with it and it's free.
Just this morning I heard about Chrome Remote Desktop. Anyone using that?
The ability to connect without getting a password from the remote computer would certainly make it more attractive to me than TeamViewer. But Slant's comparison makes it sound like the remote computer has to be staffed.
