Nice reprieve from the humidity
Posted by: AllGold

It's about 80F and my weather station says 28% humidity and a dew point of 43F.

Huge improvement over the 78F dew point I saw earlier in the week. Here in Michigan we're supposed to get one more beautiful day then it gets hot again.

Funny you should mention that, jdc. When we're shown a "heat index" of, say, 107 degrees, it feels nothing like 107 in Palm Springs...

All time record heat in some places of SoCal. Not the best time to compare temps, but at least the Dew Point is under 60 F.

Lots of records set today. At least 10 degrees over the record at the L.A. city hall. The San Fernando Valley had readings of 119 F.
It's 10:45pm and 98F and 10% humidity up from 4% this afternoon.
It's the hottest day I have experienced the the valley. Three more days of over 100F to come.

Was around 104 and high humidity yesterday; had a nice drop in temp after a front moved through; dropped to 74 and very low humidity. I've had 50 degree drops, day to night, in the winter, but I will take *any* drop in temp (and, moreso, drop in humidity) during the summer.

same as it ever was
