I have several gently used ones that are available for a song.

My wife sold both of ours on eBay a couple of months ago. I was impressed with how much she got but it was less than the original price. We should have waited!

Why are they going for so much? Just because they were discontinued?

I found a brand that is a good waterproof small clip on. It also has a larger capacity and I think 69.00 on Amz. Don’t know if the waterproof aspect will hold up as well as the Shuffle but testing.

I really liked the no-display Shuffle; was great for walks and runs. I would load it up and let it go as I went out. Some days I had the whole Beatles catalog on shuffle. Other days it was Pink Floyd (but not on Shuffle). Simple, light.

I remember encountering the Shuffles at various Walmart stores around me for $46 each during the 2 months after they were discontinued. No one seemed to be buying them, but I knew Apple products generally always go up in value after being discontinued, so I ended up acquiring about 50 (basically soaking up the inventory of all my local Walmarts). Sold the first 20 for an average of $120, then the last 30 for $150 or more.

EDIT: Quite a few of my units were purchased by a couple of companies who waterproof Shuffles.

....try Ebay to get the most bang for your buck.....or if you want to take the chance that it may increase in value......wait a few more years until inventory is depleted even further.....and prices may get even higher......

I'm trying to remember the last iPod I had. It had a silver aluminum case, no old style click wheel, you could
download videos onto it with iTunes. I used to download podcasts onto it at night and watch them at work.
Just can't remember the model, it was pretty neat. My wife bought for me.

Edit: The first one I had was the 6th Gen. Classic. I found a photo of the last iPod I had, it was an early Touch.
