What's the best software to view PDF's on Windows 10?

It's all kind of confusing to me. M$ Edge, or whatever Windoze tries to guide me towards. Acrobat DC? Seems kind of scammy.

I'm just looking for something simple like Preview on the Mac.

Acrobat DC has always seemed like bad software to me. It refuses to honor your preferences. Whenever you open a file, it opens it in it's favored default mode, which is not my favored way of opening a PDF.

It depends a little on how much editing you need. I have been using Foxit for about 6 years.

I'm not concerned about editing, just viewing.

Acrobat DC Reader is what I use. Aside from endless software updates, it seems to work.

Ditto on Acrobat. It's our corporate standard. Despite all the poor upgrade process and lack of controllability, it's still the industry standard portable controlled document distribution standard.

Speaking of not honoring preferences, just wait until Windows 10 starts randomly changing your default PDF viewer back to Edge after you install an alternate one.

Acrobat Reader DC is the best free option. I have had constant problems with Edge not interpreting colors and gradients properly, and not displaying or printing elements at the proper size, among other things.
