Jeff Lynne's ELO Concert Last Night - Photos
Posted by: maco

Saw Jeff Lynne's ELO last night here in Denver. It was a great show. The last time I saw Jeff Lynne was with ELO back in 1975 or 1976. They played in our small college gym. I would have liked to have heard a few more of the older songs, but still enjoyed the concert last night, so much fun! Here are a couple of my photos from last night. I haven't had a chance to go through my photos yet. I'm looking forward to replacing my iPhone 5s and my ancient PowerShot one of these days.

Here's a review from the Forum show.

Thanks for posting -- a lifelong fan of ELO; the first album I remember buying was Out of the Blue (on 8-track!).

Also a fan. Eldorado was my introduction, although I was familiar with The Move before that.

"Mr. Blue Sky" and "Telephone Line" are, to this day, two of my very favorite songs.

It is what it is.

Boris the Spider!

I saw ELO during that era at a venue in Phoenix called The Celebrity Theater. 2,000 person mini-bowl with a rotating circular stage in the middle, the idea was close sight-lines for everyone part of the time.

I did laugh out loud when the ELO cellist used his instrument to "row" the stage around…

Always liked their music.

Could have sworn I heard a version sung by Bev Bevan, will have to check my LPs. You are quite right about The Who.

You can't have grown up in the 70's without "Fire on High" stuck in your head, courtesy of CBS sports.

Also the backwards message from Jeff Lynne is one of the best of its time.

loved the 1st 3 LPs and most of Eldorado, but then they became too pop for me ears. The 2nd LP is way underrated to my ears.

Is Bev on tour with this incarnation, or is Jeff the only OEM?
Bev is a monster. Saw them in NYC with Steely Dan at Fisher Hall in '74 (I think) in support of Eldorado. Great double.
Then Bev again in the 80s sometime with Black Sabbeth (for work. awful music, if you could call it that).

Mike D'Albuquerque and Richard Tandy with Bev made the rnr side of ELO kill.

But my fave was the precursor, The Move. Both bands suffered from awful mixes and wish the stuff was remixed. But from 4 and 8 track days and weak labels of the UK, the masters are probably gone.

Looks like the fiddle player what tours with the Moodies.

!#$@@$#!

all I need to know I learnt from Bugs Bunny on Saturday mornings.

Jeff is the only OEM on this tour. I agree = their earlier music as opposed to the more pop sounding music. Although I do listen to some of the "newer songs."

Thanks, hoping to get one of the new iPhones, depending on what is announced next month. It will be nice to have more than 32GB of storage, a new battery and a better camera.

There's a video playlist of much closer/better videos from the Houston show.

Here's "Livin' Thing" - the violin player reminds me a lot of Natalie Merchant.

During "Handle with Care" they put up videos of the Wilburys - hard to believe that Roy, George and Tom are all gone.
