Galaxy Watch

I think this watch looks far better than almost any full smartwatches out there.

Still a little big for me, but if I had a Samsung Galaxy phone, I would seriously consider it.

I've been wanting Apple to produce a round Watch.

People complain that the round shape isn't as 'efficient' or capable of displaying text as a rectangular Watch. I really don't care.

That Galaxy Watch in 46mm is the same size as a Rolex Submariner, and in 42mm, the same size as an Apple Watch (large).

It's got some nice analog faces. While I've never cared for the pointy hands on Galaxy, that gold face is far and away more elegant than the Apple Watch. The Apple Watch faces are many, efficient, and customizable, but none qualify as elegant.

I love watches and have worn one by choice and by duty for over 60yrs. I'd almost be tempted to get one depending on how well it worked with a 'Phone.

My biggest complaint about smartwatches is with carriers wanting $10-$15 (depending on local taxes) for every LTE watch added to an account. That means a minimum of $180 a year for a feature that would be great to have even if seldom used.

Sammie looks to have a winner.

Where are all the "costs too much" people..

They're the same people who said the Apple Watch costs too much, and posted how they haven't worn a watch in 30yrs.

I'm sure they'll be chiming in— here, there, and everywhere.

Since you all seem to want someone to chime in: I won’t shell out big bucks for a watch.

But I’m really here to viciously hijack the thread, because the title immediately made me think of “Galaxy Quest”. Anyone else love that movie?

One of my very favorites!

But to return briefly to the thread, the perception of elegance must be as subjective as that of beauty, since I find the Apple Watch to be very elegant in appearance, and those pictured in the original post not at all.

Apple will never enable iOS integration with a non-Apple watch.

But I will definitely follow the testers and see what Apple DOES allow. I'm still using my Pebble 2.

Anyone else love that movie?

Me, big time.

If you have the DVD, watching it with Tony Shalhoub doing the commentary is a must. I liked the way Sigourney Weaver's uniform kept getting more ripped as the movie went on. Come to find out, that was her idea.

That movie was really a sleeper. I thought it would be ok, and I loved it. Anybody recognize Justin Long?

Such an awesome movie! The first time we watched it, my wife and I were at home and had to regularly rewind the VHS tape since we were laughing so hard from one joke that we missed the next...

I’d love to hear Shaloub’s commentary. I really enjoyed him in that movie.
