Dallas local TV ratings should make the rest of the NFL nervous

The funny thing is that this could be the thing to get Jason Garrett fired. It won’t be because he’s only made the playoffs in two of his nine seasons at head coach. It won’t be because Dak Prescott hasn’t grown as a player in two years. It won’t be because his scheme isn’t effective. It will be because people stopped watching the Cowboys. It will be because people didn’t want to watch because the game is boring. It will be because the Cowboys ratings dip. That’s a shot at Jerry Jones’ pockets. Lower ratings mean less money. Jones can’t have that. He needs to dominate the Dallas television market.

The Cowboys don’t look like they’ll be very good this year. They lack any weapons on the outside. Their offense looks to be lost. There will be a lot of handoffs to Ezekiel Elliott and not much else. That won’t bring viewers back to their television set.

And how about those Lions? Matt Patricia is to be their savior and it's only been one game, true. But a 48-17 loss? FOUR interceptions in the first game after a total of ten all last season? There were fans leaving Ford Field at halftime for crying out loud in a bucket (as my Grandmother used to say)!

Dallas is playing like crap....is it some sort of disease? Can other teams catch it? Is that what the nfl should worry about?

I think it is contagious. Pittsburgh could only tie Cleveland. That's embarrassing, and I don't really follow football anymore at all.

I watched the Thursday Falcons/Eagles opener…

For a few minutes then turned to something else. The game has become boring…

The NFL could use some humbling. Jerry Jones in particular. He's the head of their relocation committee. He signed off on the Rams, Raiders and the Chargers moves while being an owner of the company that is building their stadiums as well as harnessing 1.5 billion in relocation fees for the league.

No NFL until after the World Series.

Sometimes it is what it is...
and then there's times when it's really better.

Soccer needs to be America's new sport....LOL.

I don't think anything will change the NFL as the dominant sport in this country, it even seems to be getting more popular every year. NBA is a close second I'd guess, followed by baseball and hockey.

The whole rush to move to Dak was a mistake IMHO. While he had a good first year, the league figured him out. Without an expanded set of skills, he is one dimensional to NFL defenses now. I wish they hadn't forced Tony Romo's hand and drafted a QB with a larger arsenal. I wouldn't be surprised if Dak doesn't make it the whole season as the starter.

Yes, America's Team does suck. Plus Jerry Jones is a friend of Spanky Bonespurs and any friend of Spanky is no friend of mine.
