Can you use a Dremmel or similar tool to cut new slot in screw head? Then use slotted screwdriver to remove?

don't have a dremmel, but perhaps my neighbor might. still, pretty tight space for power tool accuracy.

Dremel could cut the whole head off pretty easy.

How about needle nose vice grips. Always handy to have. =)

What you might need is a screw extractor kit of some sort. I don't have any to recommend. Seem to some kits for $10 on Amazon. I'm sure Lowe's and Home Depot would have some in stock also.

I've had mixed results with screw extractors, in any case you have to apply a LOT of pressure in order to get enough friction for it to catch. Not sure how the shower door is arranged but it might not take well to that.

Are you trying to save/reuse the frame? If so, it will be more challenging. If not, cutting with a dremel should allow you to remove the frame.

What's behind the frame? Tile, sheetrock, wonderboard, wood?

You could use a centering punch to make a divot, and drill with consecutively larger bits til the head comes off...

Screw material ? If aluminum, you could drill out.

Drilling would be tough.

Chisel the head off, pull the frame, try PB Blaster then Vise grips on the remainder of the screw.

time to try it.

in any case, the screw is for a shower door bumper. I have no plans to destroy the frame. The others came out with little trouble.
I just sprayed in WD Specialist. Hopefully.....

Wonderboard.
Aluminum screw.

Good to know.

PB Blaster and a manual impact driver.

too stubborn.

BFFI saves the day. I jiggled what little jiggle room there was, perhaps 1/8 turn, with a full size pliers and that loosened enough for the needle nose to do the rest.

bwah ha ha ha !!!!

I always keep WD40 and duct tape handy. Sometimes is should be stuck, other times you want it unstuck.
