Finally!

By setting an Apple Watch to show the last used app when a user’s wrist is raised, this app can be used to effectively replace the real watch faces – so long as users ensure that the watch face app is the last one used before lowering their wrist again.

the idea of using the last app as the face has been around since S0. But Apple won't allow apps that are just watches, and so no one has been able to build or release an app that could do what is talked about here.

We have no idea why Apple continues to refuse to allow the use of third-party watch faces on the Apple Watch...

LOL, really?

Apple doesn't want the Watch to become a Pebble or John Lennon's Rolls Royce.

By controlling and possibly vetting any Watch face that may (hopefully) adorn a Watch, Apple can avoid tacky crap and trademark/copyright (one of those may not apply) violations.

I really want Apple to introduce some new, better Watch faces, and certainly some more elegant than what's currently available. And some rectangular faces.

This is just stoopid on Apple's part.

I really just want a watch that will tell time (larger than font size 3), give me a remote control for my podcasts/audiobook/music, and notifications.

Is that REALLY too hard?
