Captain Janeway is back, only if...

Shatner and Stewart do it too.

Quote

And while Shatner has completely ruled out a leading role in any upcoming Star Trek TV series, he has suggested he'd be interested in a smaller appearance, as long as all the circumstances were right.

But, but, but...she forgot someone!

I'd love to see more DS9, it was so far ahead of it's time (along with B5).

Sisko's probably still hanging out with the wormhole aliens.

What about Capt Archer?

She won’t be able to make it. She’s been in Litchfield Penitentiary for over 6 years now.

Brooks intentionally changed the dialog to indicate Sisko would return one day, so it didn't look like a black man was bailing on the woman he'd just gotten pregnant.

If you have cable TV, there is a large chance that you have Comet TV buried somewhere in the mid hundreds (328 on my system). They recently started rebroadcasting Babylon 5 episodes. Today's episodes are S1 E22 - Chrysalis, and S2 E01 - Points of Departure.

You can watch Comet Live streamed form their site, too. There's also a Kodi plugin if you can't get it via antenna.

Have binged both in the last year. DS9 is so far superior as to make no odds.

Paramount allegedly lifted the basic idea for DS9 from a proposal by the creator of Babylon 5, but if they did so, it was a case of the copy being way better than the original.

I would say DS9 is better executed (mainly due to higher budgets) but B5 is a better concept.

"I don’t want to see religious bigotry in any form. It would disturb me if there was a wedding between the religious fundamentalists and the political right. The hard right has no interest in religion except to manipulate it." - Billy Graham 1981

"Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can't and won't compromise" - Barry Goldwater

Their respective budgets was definitely a factor. I know JMS posted at the time that they were producing B5 on a budget of just over $900,000 an episode. DS9's budget was close to $2 million an episode as I recall.
