Where can I download older operating systems?

I didn't think I had a need to update the OS on my iMac but realised that I was about four systems behind. My concern is that there are a couple of programs that might stop working so the idea is that I will do a clone of what I have and put the next OS on it then check out if anything has broken. I was on 10.11 and managed to update the clone to 10.12 and everything worked however it took me ages to find where on the Apple site I could get 10.12. Now I want to try 10.13 and I've forgotten how I finally managed to find the older OS pages. Searching on the Apple site only comes up with updates within the OS so I have to have 10.13 already for them. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Thanks. I am running El Cap right now, and intend to eventually go to Mojave. But I have to update to High Sierra first and do a firmware update before I can go to Mojave.

Wow, I just tried downloading the HS installer, and it didn't download the whole installer because it said I needed that firmware update. So I guess I'll download it when I'm ready to update.
