Vocal cord damage - first Marty Balin, now Lindsey Buckingham

As a result of emergency heart surgery, Marty Balin, who later passed away, claimed his vocal cords were paralyzed and that he lost half his tongue in a tracheotomy after having the surgery at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital. Now it seems a similar injury has unfortunately happened to Lindsey Buckingham:

Here’s hoping he has a full recovery.

hope the vocal damage was only from having a tube down his throat during the operation. it does screw up your voice for awhile but it is recoverable. had it happen to me years ago when i had a procedure done in the middle of recording a cd. had to put off the vocals for at least a month if memory serves me correctly.
