rubber band colection

etekcity BT outlet. The batt door on the remote keeps popping off.
Now it's missing.
I knew there was a reason to save all them produce rubber bands.

A little bit of Scotch tape takes care of problems like this.

Ugh. I know the feeling. Every single one of our FIOS remotes has a strip of packing tape running outside the battery compartment. Electrical tape would look better but isn’t wide enough to do the job.

Half the time the tape gets applied before the battery door gets lost. Half the time, after, and it’s the only thing holding the batteries in. Old world craftsmanship.

Mess with that stuff enough and you get to the point where you can sculpt the missing pieces from acrylic or scrap LDPE and bond it with solvent.

...Soon to be replaced with 3D printing.
