short list.

now my right hip is going out, not unexpected. Progressing far faster, and these days asking for any decent pain meds make you look like a criminal. @#$%&.

partner's mom now in an assisted living home

my mom has Lewey Body dimentia

my partner was having some skull/neck imaging done, and they found a carotid artery aneurism behind her left eye. If it blew, lights out in seconds. Was just repaired end of January with a stent.

lots of other minor stuff too.

Oh, last spring my partner's oldest son contacted her through Ancestry.com. She gave him up for adoption when she was 18. Now she has 3 kids in her life, and as of two weekends ago, she has a daughter in law too. His adoptive family really has welcomed her into the family, as their attitude is her gift brought so much joy and love into everyones' lives, they owe her. She even was "introduced" to everyone at the wedding reception as his "other mom" Now I need to make him a faux crayon stick figure T shirt that says "I have 2 mommies" I now have a new shooting buddy, and HE RACES AUTOCROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were wondering where you went...
Sounds like you had reasonably good excuses to be away! (to say the least!).

Take care of you and yours, man!

Hey! Many of us are in an age group where life is bringing us more and more challenges.
Don't even get me started on mine.
It's remarkable to me how all of our communicating over the years has brought us wonderfully close together.
A rare gift in the world wide web.
Racer, whatever else you spoke about, it sounds as if your "partners' " gaining some loving family at this stage of life is an unexpected blessing.
Keep looking for a doctor that gets your need for pain medication is appropriate for your situation and not due to an abusing need.
You should be able to find one, so keep at it and don't give up.
Good luck on everything!

Holy. Smokes. Maybe you should pitch “Real Life of Racer X” to MTV. Keep hanging tough.

“I’m Still Standing” by Elton John, unofficial MRF theme song. big grin smiley

I’ll second GeneL’s urging to continue the hunt to find a doctor that will help you manage your pain adequately and without a cavity search every time you need a refill.

May you and yours see better days ahead.

Ouch. I hope things improve for you and the family. I have two cousins that are looking at knee replacements. The other side of the family is dealing with possible hip replacements.

mom just had a port put in for chemo a couple weeks ago. then landed in hospital for a few days, they thought she had c-diff. just low sodium. she's 79.

the hits don't stop.

Racer, it's great to hear from you. Ups and downs... the 'prodigal son' story is AWESOME... Motocross and a new shooting partner ! Woo hoo !

FWIW.... CBD oil is generally legal just about everywhere and helps lots of folks. It's worth a try. Mrs. cbelt3 says it helps her Fibro and RA. Not as much as prescription painkillers, but it helps keep things down to a dull roar.

Damn, RacerX, you got some serious stuff going on. Sending you positive thoughts!

Unfortunately, I have a pesky hangnail so now I'll need to focus on that. smiley-shocked003

And here I was just moping around about how boring my life has become. I think I'll take boring over what you're dealing with, Racer.

It's good to see you back with an update, and hope things settle down at the Racer X compound soon.
