Samsung Galaxy Fold little demo

This guy has a pretty decent unboxing site -- a little hyper -- but at least he is clear and sound is great

Looks promising... and maybe the future? iPad mini + iPhone.

I could honestly see me using one. Of course, price is gonna need to come down. But only a matter of time.

You can skip the first 1:30 to get to the phone.

IMHO, this is 'insanely great', it really is the future of smart phones. Perfect? No, it's the first model out from Samsung, it has room for improvement. That's a given. Next generation versions will just get better (thinner, cheaper, etc.). This will be my next smart phone (depends of course) and since I'm an Android user I won't have to wait for the Bean Counters at Apple to try to sell me an overpriced Apple version.

This YT is also informative:

I'm impressed and this is Version 1.0. Surely Steve is rolling in his grave cursing the people who he left in charge in Cupertino for not taking the lead with this technology...

I like that it includes a mild telephoto on the back. I am in the group that if you have a display on the back (like this), you only need a pinhole 'holepunch' camera for a video call. The one time I got anything close to a leading edge mobile device was the HTC One M8. For something like this, I would wait for extended reviews of the second gen device.

I like the tall and thin closed form factor. I know its thick in height in its current form, but it tall/thin ratio seems easier than the single fat phone for daily use

2 iPhone SE 2s attached could work...?

Looks at $2000 price tag on this phone...

Apple has *never* been cheap. But a new S10 is $900, aint exactly chump change.

I highly doubt apple is far behind.

Be interesting to see what november brings.

Interesting tech, but it doesn't interest me

I'm old and just don't feel the need to have a full-on computer in my pocket.

It might interest me when a foldable phone is no bigger than my iphone 7 when folded when folded and could be used as a phone while still folded.

And it comes free with my McDonalds lunch (one can dream)

For that price you could buy an iPhone XS AND an iPad mini!
