Ugh, what can replace my Fitbit one?

They don’t make them anymore.
Mine’s back has come off and the battery may have swelled. Taped back together but the battery now dies quickly and without warning.
I want a clip style not a band.
I just need the basics, time, miles, steps, calories, stairs would be ok.
Anyone know what would be best. The Fitbit Versa is a little too bulky, and you have to purchase the clip separately.
Anyone like any of the Garmins?

I switched to an Apple Watch. I really wanted to like FitBit, but every single one that I had failed spectacularly (I tried 3 different models). One was recalled after it was replaced twice. Some the battery swelled. Others, simply fell apart. They were all replaced multiple times under warranty. I can't fault FitBit's warranty service, but replacing the same device 4 times makes it functionally useless to me. It spent more time in transit than on my wrist.

Moving on from the Fitbit to the Apple Watch was a whole new level of ease. Fitbits were constantly, left in my other pants, run through the washer or found day later in a parking lot.

The watch just goes on and stays on, plus reporting is so much better.

Series 3 was even better as it added a level of water resistance.

I have a watch I really like. I don’t want a smart watch, just a tracker.

Garmin make fitness watches, although they generally have GPS, which makes them a little bit pricey.

I suspect that battery life on them is better than an AAPL watch.

I'm in physical therapy right now post total knee replacement. They gave me a Fitbit Zip to track my progress. It is a clip on and does time, steps distance and calories. I prefer my Apple watch, but hey, it was free. If you don't mind magenta, Amazon has one for 60 bucks.

Yeah, my husband has the zip. I prefer the One, but maybe I might have to downgrade or go with a Garmin.

I use a Garmin Vivofit 3 because the battery lasts more than a year. My wife liked mine and I bought her one from this guy: [www.ebay.com]

It was new when it came. The band on the original is just dumb so I get a watchband type replacement. I got this one because it's cheap: [www.amazon.com]

My wife wanted colors so we bought a set of 3 with different colors for somewhere in the $12 range.

Having said this, I'm going to buy an Apple watch when the next iteration comes out and the 4 gets cheap (well, as cheap as Apple stuff gets!).

Oops. Cyclemax pointed out you wanted a clip on. You can get this at Amazon and make the Vivofit 3 a clip on: [www.amazon.com]

I don't want an apple watch because -

a) I don't need a smart device wrapped around part of my body

b) I don't want to charge my watch _every_ night.

I have a garmin fenix 3 which I love. Yes, its a lot more expensive than your fitbit but they have lower priced options as well.

Garmin 235. Battery lasts all week. Works when you run, walk, whatever. I love it!

Some appear to have missed that she wants a clip on, not a watch band style.

LOL! A sports bar will hold a very large tracking device. A sports -bra-, well, it depends....

Yes, I didn't think you tucked into a bar on walkabout.

Now about bras— there's seldom TMI, if ya know what I mean.

I have a watch I really like.

This is a real problem with an Apple Watch.

I have several watches I really like, but end up wearing my Watch all the time, because of it's functionality.

I keep telling myself to wear too, but I just can't get round to it.

And I did see right off that you don't want a band device.

Have you checked out the Fitbit flex 2? I originally had the flex and would tuck the tracker (without the band) in a usb Velcro case and put that on my shoe. (Better accuracy)
This flex was designed to go into a pendant and other jewelry pieces.
$45 new @ eBay [www.ebay.com]

Gone... there was two available

How about the Fitbit Charge? You can remove the band and it's fairly small.

I do want the read out on the device. Isn’t the flex 2 the one with just the lights and you have to check the app?

Yeah, but I am also cheap. Lol
I might have to get the Fitbit Inspire, as it is like $70, and then just get or make a clip for it. The actual Fitbit clip is $20 which is ridiculous, IMHO.

Edit. Maybe I was looking at the newest charge. I do see some pebble only charges on EBay for like $45 so maybe that would work.
