For "marriot hotels" blah blah blah. Ive gotten them before, but been awhile.

If I just answer, push 0 and then yell "F___ you!" do you think they will take me off their list faster than if I push #2 to be removed from their list? (which Im not convinced does anything anyway?

Not the answer I *wanted* to hear ;).

Just thinking/hoping they hit a button on their screen that says "abusive, foul language, do not call back"

How about you yell “ F____ You Biotches, take me off your damn list!” Two birds with one stone!

Just thinking/hoping they don't hit a button on their screen that says "abusive, foul language, do not call back often to irritate"

Just get their names and numbers and let them know you are filling a complaint wit the FCC - which will result in a fine of $1000 for each offense

The recorded message on my phone includes :..if this is a LEGITIMATE call, leave your name, number, a brief message and, I will return your call. If, however, you're a scum sucking telemarketer who is blatantly violating the Federal Do NOT Call Law (and this includes requests for blood donations), then you are MOST cordially invited to consume feces and expire...."

I then block any numbers where a message is NOT left. boink smiley

Meh. I just don't answer calls I don't recognize the caller ID of.

If I have to answer (say, my plumbing is leaking, and I'm expecting a call back from some plumbers), and it turns out it's just a random marketing call, I just hang up.

I don't have to get upset, nor do they.

The spam calls to my cell phone are a fairly recent phenomenon. I use NoMoRobo on my “landline”.

My favorite robocall was a whole script.
In Chinese.

All I recognized was "Ni Hao" (Hello)

I responded with "Tienanmen Square 1989" in the hopes that the robocaller would get nailed by the MSS.

I get about ten to 15 a day; they're either for an exciting new limited offer to lower my insurance premiums or to let me know that there is nothing wrong with my credit but they can match me with a fantastic card with a lower APR.

End result is that I never answer phone calls that are from numbers not already in my Contacts list.

I just got one from 888 toll free prefix. It was a new one on this line, so I answered. It was a robot so I hung up. Who Called search results said it was a scam saying my Social Security number had been frozen.

ANY interaction with ANY of these spammers puts you on the list of people that interact. If you engage, there's a chance you can be taken, so they will hammer you afterward. DO NOT ENGAGE.

that's my theory and I'm stickin to it
