Due to a recent illness. One of the greatest.

My life goes smoothly and in regular intervals

Raised in Wisconsin, still remember everyone jammed around the tiny B&W TV watching the first Super Bowls with him, '66 and '67. RIP.

While working at a Super Bowl, I rode up in an elevator with Bart Starr, Emmitt Smith, Franco Harris, and the NFL commissioner. Franco and Emmitt were very friendly, Bart and the commish, not so much. Bart was there to recieve some sort of lifetime achievement award, and I was stationed close to where he was to go out. I tried to have a conversation as he was waiting, but no go. sad smiley

Its too bad, but at least he's not dealing with health struggles anymore.

Great guy that will be missed.

"He was preoccupied"

Yeah, that was my take. I was always a big fan of his, and it would have been cool to have a little interaction, but I'm sure it was a big night for him. I've been extremely fortunate to meet well known figures face to face and have been able to get a little read on some of them. In the eighties I interacted with most of the well known presidential candidates covering the N.H primaries as a photographer, and later I met folks through other work including the Super Bowls.

Greatest Packer QB of all time.
5 championship Rings.

All around great person.

Unfortunately as a coach he got stock with bad players (some of his own choosing).

RIP #15.

Steve
