Happy Shavuos!

Shavuos, one of the 3 major pilgrimage holiday on Jewish calendar is today. Traditionally celebrated with dairy products like blintzes and cheesecake

It also celebrates the first fruits as well as the wheat harvest, but who ever got laughs throwing a loaf of bread and bunch of figs?

(The giving of the Ten Commandments is in there too AND the Book of Ruth. You can pick up a lot of packaging-together in 3500 years.)

Yeah, that’s the part about Blazing Saddles that always seemed far-fetched to me too. /s

I had milk in my cereal this morning, and harvested my first tomatoes of the season too.

I guess I am an observant Jew after all.

Srsly. I think Mel was pretty clear that the whole thing was taking place on a movie set.
