What would y'all pay for this iMac?

Listing description.

"I have the original box and CDs for this beautiful 27 inch iMac core i7. Price is $500 obo."

i7 2.93GHz with 8Gb of RAM. Looks like a generic aluminum keyboard and a plastic mouse of some sort.

It's been cut to $405. but even that seems a tad high compared to what they've been bringing on eBay.

Well, its a 9 year old iMac.

No retina, no USB 3, no 4K output.

Will take 32 GB of ram, and not super hard to install an internal SSD (limited to SATA I speeds).

Ive got one upgraded with those things -- 32 GB ram 7 500 GB SSD -- and it sings along. Id say its near as fast as my 2014 iMac for somethings, others it drags.

On a budget, looking for a large screen iMac I dont think its bad @400 -- but realize its gonna take some more $ to make it zip along. Using OWC as a guide, ram looks expensive. I would want 24 GB min for me...

Apple hasn’t included Restore media (CDs or DVDs) for years now. Just how old is your iMac?

I cant remember if my 2010 iMac came with a Snow Leo DVD... maybe? It does have an optical drive...

$400 seems like a fair price for this 2010 iMac, assuming everything works. 8 GB is enough and the iMac will run the current MacOS

Well thats a better dea -- the extra ram is a $70ish bonus (maybe offest with shipping), and the better GPU -- but the i7 in the 2010 helps with CPU stuff.

Also SATA III (full speed internal SSD) in the 2011 + 2 Thunderbolt would help with fast external, if you needed that.

To really get anything leaps and bounds over the 2010 - 13 models -- you have to go to 2014 with the retina display.

I'm pretty sure it came with restore discs.

I've got a 2010 27" iMac i5 right now that we bought new. Mine has dark lines running through screen and another 19" display connected to it. I would take this one if I get it and let my wife have the ours for her workspace. I've ran a couple WTB ads on here for a good panel. A good panel on eBay will cost $100-200.

Yesterday I bought a used 2011 i7 27” iMac 3.4GHz from Woot for $339 + tax + $6 shipping. Only 4 gigs of RAM, though.

Wolfie, if you really want to sell that iMac, post an ad here on the other other side or on the low end Mac list.

......that 4GB RAM is a real issue.......I have a MacBook Air and will get stalled with 'beach ball' quite frequently and will have to restart the application.....if you have very 'lite' needs it may work will but even with web browser.......frequent restarting.....

True. I have the exact same iMac that I just bought but with an SSD (plus the spinny drive) upgraded to 24 GBs total of RAM. It is speedy but has the video issue. I will move the RAM to this new purchase.

You can easily add memory to the iMac - there are 4 slots. Not so with the MacBook Air
