Weekend pre-prime day deal on TV?

Our Samsung plasma is failing again, and we’ve decided the current new TV prices are compelling. But there are too many out there!

We are looking for a 55-60 inch model, HDR, ideally with amazon compatibility since we have our home connected to Echos.

I know OLED is the latest and greatest, but my wife would likely want us to stick to something that’s more value-centered than maximizing image quality.

We have a nice Vizio soundbar system so we don’t need good audio.

Any recommendations for this weekend are appreciated.

TIA!

LG OLED is the only rational selection. They're not that much more expensive, seriously.

Looks like the prices range from roughly $500 to $1500.

Thanks

I’m wondering where quantum dot TVs sit in the spectrum. Some are under $1000 for 65” models, half the price of OLeDs

I've been very happy with the 2 TCL TVs that I have. Cheap, great picture, Roku operating system. Highly recommended.

How’s the Roku OS vs just a Roku?

As far as I can tell, pretty much Identical. The big difference is the volume/mute controls on the TV remote. Since all the Rokus are on my account, any channel she adds will pop up on mine
