Pandora plays automatically in Mazda, not in Volt. Please make it stop.

I updated my Mazda CX-5 to Apple CarPlay a few weeks ago. I like it.

A few days ago, probably Monday, I noticed that music was playing on my iPhone when I got out of the car. It is the same interface as Pandora, but Pandora App is not open. If I open Pandora App, same song continues playing.

I lock / unlock iPhone several times and eventually it goes away. Next time I drive the Mazda it happens again, even though I do not connect the cable. Bluetooth alone does it. The car is playing Sirius XM, nothing to do with the phone. But the phone think the car is asking for Pandora. I open all Apps, Pandora is not even open.

This does not happen when I drive the Chevy Volt.

How do I stop this?
Thanks

In your iPhone settings, is General->Handoff set to 'on' ? If yes, try turning it off and see how using Pandora in the Mazda behaves when you exit the vehicle. Does it continue to play on your iPhone?

Otherwise, I would look at the Pandora settings in the Mazda _and_ on the iPhone (though I couldn't say what to look for, having neither a Mazda nor using Pandora on an iPhone)

Good luck...

Drive only the Volt.

Saint Cloud, Minnesota, where the weather is wonderful even when it isn't.

I turned the handoff to OFF. Didn’t happen when I drove home last night. I turned back ON and didn’t happen when I drove to work today. I am still not sure what caused this earlier this week.
