I bought this gizmo on prime day

ZOMG it was easy to set up and it's GREAT !
Essentially it's two pieces... one battery operated tilt sensor attaches to the top of the garage door. Tilt ? Door is open. Vertical ? Door is closed.

And the 'control' is really just a rolling code opener transmitter. Connected to my wifi, programmed the garage door opener. Loaded the app into my iPhone. Done.

I now know when the garage door opens or closes. And it's set up if the door is open after midnight, it automatically closes. No more waking up to find the raccoons have raided the birdseed supply. Or the trash cans.

And.. no subscription cost !!

We have a similar system called a GoGoGate 2 at my office. Love it! Love it! Love it! I was never able to open or close the garage door with the opener built into my CX-7 and it was a serious pain in the butt. Purchased and installed a GoGoGate and now I just use my phone for the task. Easy as pie and works beautifully. Buy it. Install it. Use it. Change the battery once in a long time. Done. No subscription either. Would recommend it in a heartbeat.

I have this built into my Liftmaster door opener. I love it too. No more turning around and going home because I couldn't remember if I closed the garage door on one of those rushed mornings. I also have a camera in my garage, so I can remotely open my garage for deliveries and watch on the camera. Although, I would not give Amazon delivery access to this feature which they offer.

ive had one for years, it was the same cost as buying a new remote, and now the whole family can use their phone.

Have it for my Chamberlain openers...they don't even need the tilt switch. If you get MyQ-enabled light switches, you can also use your door remote or phone app to control interior/exterior garage lighting.

Same experience here.
Picked it up recently for $20 @ Home Depot clearance instore only.

I only had one issue that I resolved quickly. I initially had it set up to open and close with screen tap. Then I opened the garage door and put the phone in my pocket... I started hearing a beeping sound.... telling me it would close the door and it did. But I was able to stop it from closing because I had the back of my SUV up.

So now you need to log in AGAIN to open or close the garage.

Works nicely for Amazon Key Garage.

Jamie-How did you get it to work with Alexa? A subscription or a wifi switch board?
