I think it's actually SDRAM for older iMacs, low profile for some slots– check MacTracker

It is sdram - none of the sites like crucial or dealram identify it as low profile. I read how some pc133 is not backward combatible so while it is a few dollars more - i thought it safer to go with pc100 sdram. Just curious if any pc100 scdram not compatable before I make a mistake.

The PC100 SDRAM needs to meet Apple's specs. There is memory out there that is PC100, but does not meet the Apple requirements. The issues go to type of chips used in the PC100 and the internal organization of the memory cells. A lot of the RAM on eBay comes out of PC's that do not have the same required specs. So unless the seller properly identifies the RAM, you can end up with incompatible memory. The full specification for RAM is outlined in the Apple iMac hardware tech note for developers.
