Guess I need to start saving my Amazon email confirmations

Order a Milanese loop watch band for my Apple Watch which had a 1 year warranty. It broke after about 3 weeks so I sent an email to the company that sold it although it was fulfilled by Amazon. I didn't hear anything after a couple weeks so this morning I got on Amazon to take it up with them and it has completely disappeared from my order history. So, since I don't save the order confirmations guess I'm SOL. Good thing it was fairly inexpensive.

The email confirmations often don't even say what you ordered especially if you ordered multiple items.

"Thank you for shopping with us. You ordered 3 of "Some item..." and 1 other item . We’ll send a confirmation when your items ship."

Amazon has definite 'holes' in their customer support for some companies.

Check that they have an email to respond on their site if you want ANY chance at customer service or warranty support.

My wife had an issue with an Apple Watch band, (made of metal, coating wore off and started irritating her skin) seller didn’t have a problem replacing it under their one year warranty.

I’ve had to call customer service for other stuff that’s “ not listed “

Yea, that's strange. My order history goes back to the first order I ever made in 1997. I didn't confirm every order, but I've always found every order I've searched for.

Nope, not in my order history. And it was there as that is where I went to get the company's contact info. Clicked on the link in the order to go to the item page to get the company contact info.

** Just had a possible lead. I contacted the company through Amazon's system so I was able to find the storefront that sold it with a link to the item page. The item no longer exists but now I have somewhat proof of the order and date it was placed so maybe I stand a chance of a replacement.

I save;

the 'confirmation' email
the 'item shipped' email
the 'item delivered' email

until I receive and am satisfied with the item ordered.

Now that AMZ is doing a lot of their own shipping, I don't get any 'item shipped' emails from those deliveries.

I've complained to AMZ about it and they just say I can check tracking on the site. For some time now, there's been no 'item shipped'. It's at intermediate stage, then 'delivered'.

Otherwise, I've never not received an email regarding an order.
