Yes! Minnesota Twins set MLB record

Two records, actually. One was most home runs in a season (307) this year, which broke the previous record by 40.

The other they set just last night.

Quote

After Monday’s 5-1 Yankees win to complete the series sweep, Minnesota has now lost 16 straight playoff games (13 of them to the Yankees), easily an MLB record and tying the 1975–1979 Chicago Blackhawks for the most consecutive postseason losses in major North American sports.

In fact, the last time the Twins won a post-season game was 15 years ago, despite being in the playoffs or wild-card game 6 times since then. The Wild (pro hockey) and the Timberwolves (pro basketball) have never been so much as conference champs.

Oh well. For long-suffering Minnesota pro sports fans, we can always think fondly on the Vikings four Super Bowl appearances.

Or not.

No great surprise. Before the first game they individually introduced the players. The Yankees looked huge compared to their less muscular Twins’ counterparts.

Was a great season, despite the sad ending.

Steroids will do that...

They'd be out of the league if that were true.

I try to enjoy only the regular season and not get sucked in to the post season carnival. All that’s about is making a whole lot of money for people who have absolutely no interest other than that.
