2011 MacBook Pro: EFI Boot?

When I hold down the OPTION key on startup, should I be seeing an option to boot from called "EFI Boot"? If yes, what do I do if I am not seeing that?

I am trying to follow the instructions below, I am on the first line under item (2):

(1) Format USB Stick 8GB or larger to Fat 32 MBR (Not NTFS or GPT)

Download UNetbootin here: [unetbootin.github.io]

Install with custom .iso from download package to USB.

Move grub.cfg to USBDRIVE/boot/grub and replace the existing file.

Move Radeondisable.sh to the root of the USB drive.

(2) Power Off the 2011 MacBook Pro and insert the USB Drive:

Hold ALT/Option key on MacBook during boot and select "EFI Boot"

Choose "Try Ubuntu without installing" from the menu.

It will take a few minutes to load Ubuntu.

Press CTRL, ALT/Option, T to open a terminal.

Type:
cd /cdrom
Hit Enter

Type:
sudo ./RadeonDisable.sh
Hit Enter

I think you should see a menu that will allow you to boot from the normal drive, or from a recovery partition where you can run Disk Utility or surf the internet (with a lightweight version of Safari) to search for help.

This may also depend on which OS is installed on the machine. If this is that 2011 MBP, it went from 10.6 (when you only had options of which drive to boot from) to several OS Updates, including the new versions of OS X (10.7 and up) that allow booting from this recovery partition.

What exactly are you seeing?

Machine has High Sierra on it, it only shows the internal drive to boot from when holding OPTION key at boot up. I tried it with bootable USB Thumbdrive installed, only showed internal drive.

What partitions do you see in Disk Utility?
