GoDaddy takes down my website

Seems unlimited space is not exactly with it seems. They took down my site because I have too many files and use too much space. My plan includes unlimited storage which according to them (And several other hosts I called) means that while most websites use under 5GB of space and virtually none go over 25GB, they allow up to 50GB of space on their unlimited plan.
Additionally they have a maximum of 250,000 files and my site has 710,500 files. That falls under the terms of "if your site disrupts other sites on the shared server platform...."

Now on their behalf, they did notify via e-mail but seems it went to spam along with several GoDaddy emails the send out each week. It would be nice if they gave me a few days of the site up to I could manage the photo galleries and move the bulk of it to another storage platform designed for that use. Zenfolio, Photo Reflect etc. But they refused so I have the difficult time or trying to find a new host and rebuild the site

Why didn't they notify you that you were over the file limit when you hit it? It sounds like poor management and someone was asleep at the switch for a year or two, then you got hung out to dry by someone trying to get a promotion.
