People brawl in drive through dispute [twitter.com]

Woman sacrifices car for sandwich [www.theroot.com]

On Tuesday, I reported on a man getting stabbed to death for cutting a line at a Popeyes in Maryland, and now comes the news of a woman destroying her own d—n car over a similar stunt.

The incident in question, which was captured on video and shared to Instagram, took place at a Popeyes location in Los Angeles. This crazed customer refused to wait in the drive-thru line like a respectable human being and instead attempted to shoehorn her old ass Mercedes Benz between cars in front of her.

SPOILER WARNING: It didn’t end well.

Popeye's must be adding some kind of pathogen to the fry vat and venting it to atmosphere.

I'm sure this kind of behavior isn't unique and could be the product of tabloid marketing.

But it sure seems as odd as it is sad.

It’s worse than a new iPhone release used to be.

When they were first released, a friend and I got one at lunch, not realizing what was up. The Popeye's we went to, in an AR town (and which was usually pretty sparse) was packed, and there were cars out into the street. This was long after lunch; 2:30. We ran some errands and came back at 3:30 and it was the same story. When we parked and went in, the young woman taking our order simply said, "how many chicken sandwiches do you want?"

We laughed, got our order, and sat down. We were eating the fries and whatever, not really paying attention, and both took a bite of our respective sandwiches at the same time.

Holy carp, that was delicious.

Easily the best fast food chicken sandwich I'd ever had. Absolutely delicious. Reminded me of Popeye's in their heyday back in New Orleans, before Copland sold them.

Flash forward to this week & the sandwich's return. My daughter and I got one.

It's still very good, but not like last time. We went to a different Popeye's; not as crowded this time. Maybe b'c they were making them assembly line style, but it just wasn't quite the same.

Still damn good though. Not stabby good. But good.
