Any recommendations for a weather station? Mainly want wind and temp.
Question about rain sensors. we have many fir and cedar trees and a few maples will that clog up the rain sensor? I plan on mounting it high on our hour and would not have regular access to it

I put up an Ambient Weather WS-1400 IP several years ago and it is still in use. I've since put one up at my dads and one at work. They work great and are reliable. I believe now it has been upgraded to a 1401 model.

Edit: This is the model now

Don't put your thermometer where the sun will shine on it. Keep it out of the rain and away from concrete and asphalt etc.

Stay away from Acu-Rite. I've received 3 of them as gifts. I've robbed parts off of them over the last 5 years and I'm down to one halfway working outdoor sensor. They just don't hold up.

I should add, the Ambient Weather plugs right into weatherunground.com if you so chose. Kinda nice going there on my computer/phone/watch and seeing the data from my location thru the Weather Underground app.

You can see it here.
