Watching 'This Old House'...

Like old men standing around watching construction, I love watching This Old House and Ask This Old House.

An eight episode series heavily renovating a RI ranch house, concluded with the Nov. 23 episode.

The next few episodes (TBA) will cover rebuilding three houses in Paradise CA, in the wake of the one year anniversary of the Paradise Camp Fire.

Rebuilding has been ongoing, but TOH joins up and apparently is going to help build a memorial to 85 souls lost in the fire.

Watching some of the preview was pretty chilling, recalling memories of the Oakland firestorm.

It'll be good to see positive activity. The news media didn't seem to cover much of that, or if I'm honest, I may have missed it.

When a good man is hurt,
all who would be called good
must suffer with him.

by believing all possible evil of evil men.

Nice to hear about the fire memorial. TOH had their 40 year anniversary this year.

TOH fan too!
Also enjoy the old Jacques & Julia cooking along with the newer A Chef's Life.
Really miss the late, great Cajun Master, Justin Wilson.
Much more useful than the current over-weight, sodium addicts rehashing
boring recipes.

I recently rediscovered it as it has new meaning to me for reasons that regular forum readers will we aware.

Fun fact - I'm in week 3 of a toilet replacement. And decided to throw in a bathroom ceiling fan replacement in the middle. Its taking a while but I think its going okay.

Anyway, I've found the show enjoyable in addition to providing useful and actionable information.

Been a fan for years. Ask This Old House is also good, and shows more projects typical of a homeowner, like me, who is not in the middle of a down-to-studs remodel.
